Merit have seven key staff. Below are the names, positions and details of those members of staff.

Tony Wells - Managing Director

Tony joined Merit as Managing Director in 2002. Prior to Merit, Tony was Managing Director of M + W Zander FM where he was founder and President of their UK subsidiary FM UK Mechanical Inc. Whilst with M+W, Tony spent time in Europe, the USA and Asia working with IBM, Motorola and BOC. Tony has a B.Eng in Electrical Engineering from Newcastle University and has undertaken a PHD based upon benchmarking in the semi conductor industry. At the time Tony joined Merit, the company was predominantly focused on mechanical installation work in the North East of England, known as Merit Process Engineering. With the help of Chris Berriman, Tony created Merit Merrell Technology to provide complete turnkey solutions for the semiconductor and biotechnology sectors on an international scale. The company, which now includes; Merit Holdings, Merit Process Engineering and Merit Merrell Technology has successfully diversified into clean room design & construction, UHP pipe installation and major tool-hook work. Testament to the companies success under Tony's direction is the increase in turnover from £ to £ and the impressive client base which now includes Glaxo Smith Kline, GE Healthcare and Diamond Light Source.

Chris Berriman - Business Development Director

Chris Berriman was appointed Business Development Director of Merit in 2002. In conjunction with Tony Wells, Chris founded Merit Merrell Technology. Prior to Merit, Chris was Business Development Manager for M + W Zander and fulfilled various key Project Management roles for Siemens Microelectronics and Sir Robert MacAlpine. Chris has played a pivotal role in transforming Merit into a multi national market leader and has helped the company achieve various prestigious awards including; Winner of the Deloitte Fast 50 Growing Technology Companies in the Northern Region 2009, Finalists in the North East Business Awards Regional Finals -Company of the Year 2008, Tyne and Wear Winner of Company of the Year 2008, North East Business Awards Northumberland and Winner of Fastest Growing Large Business 2008 in the Journal Fastest 50. Chris's continuous, global, business development has successfully raised Merit's profile which in turn has contributed to the company securing prestigious contracts with Halley VI Antartica Base and Westfield Shopping Centre, London.

Robert Pratt - Operations Director

Robert was appointed Operations Director in early 2009 to manage key client relationships, oversee contract execution, and implement operational improvements. Having served 18 years with Metnor Group, as Managing Director of Norstead Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Robert has brought a wealth of experience in construction support services to Merit. Since joining the company, Robert has introduced and facilitated a number of key operational changes thus, improving process and cost efficiency.

Matthew McGrady - Finance Director

Matthew joined Merit in late 2009 to manage the company finances and accounts. Prior to Merit, Matthew worked for KPMG for 11 years before moving into a Finance Director role for.

David Masterson - Commercial Director

Dave joined Merit in June 2009 to oversee the commercial.
